Greetings From Myrtle Beach
Dear Family,
I greet you in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. It is with great pleasure to welcome you to our 2nd Family Gathering in the beautiful city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in the Palmetto State. I pray that your stay here will be a safe an enjoyable one that you’ll remember for a lifetime.
As we gather for this reunion, I want to share with you that one of the greatest resources God gave us is the Family. Family came from the Mind of the Almighty God and a good Christian family is one which lines up with biblical principles and one in which each member understands and fulfills his or her God-given role. The family was created by God, and man has been given the responsibility of stewardship over it.
The basic biblical (Christian) family unit is comprised of one man, one woman – his spouse – and their offspring or adopted children. The extended family can include relatives by blood or marriage such as grandparents, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Although there are many single parents and we thank God for them as I myself am, this does not change what God’s plan is for the Christian Family. We must strive for healing, communication, and understanding among one another. The spiritual well-being of the family cannot be taken for granted. It takes years for moral and spiritual character to be built within the family unit and passed down to our children.
The Word of God tells us that “we must train up a child in the way that he or she should go and when they are old they will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 4:6) I thank God and I am eternally grateful for my Mom, The Late Ethel W. (McFadden) Lennon who is now with the Lord and my Dad, Judson McFadden, Sr. whom I love very much. They brought us up with love and respect for one another. Thank God for my two daughters, Sharon and Elizabeth whom I love very much. God knows all things and He knew that Sharon and Elizabeth would come through me even before they were formed in my womb. Thank God for my grandchildren, Binki, Rachel, David and Raylon.
All to the Glory of God!
