Dear Family,
I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Welcome to our 7th McFadden-Whaley Family Reunion in the beautiful Queen City of Charlotte, North Carolina. I am so excited, and I pray that you are as well.
What a great theme this 2018 “Renewing the Family.” We must be renewed daily through the Word of God. Ephesians 4:22-24 (KJV) says, “That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow!
First, Thank God for being the Awesome and Faithful God that He is. We could not do what we do without Him. If it had not been for the Lord on our side, where would we be?
Secondly, I’d like to thank the 2018 Planning Committee who worked diligently with me in planning, preparing and sacrificing their time for this day for the past 2 years. Our planning committee members are: Mr. Herbert Whaley, Spiritual Advisor, Mr. George McFadden, Vice President, Ms. Elizabeth McFadden, Secretary, and Mrs. Sharon Young, Treasurer. Also, our Talent Night Coordinators: Mrs. Taffeny McFadden and Ms. Elizabeth McFadden. Again, I Thank You!
Lastly, thank you family for your commitment and contributions throughout the year. You are so very special and near and dear to my heart.
We have some new and exciting things added this year and that is our Family Program Journal and Family Talent Night. Our journal takes us back remembering our past, our loved ones and celebrating our future. This will be a keepsake for years to come. Thank God for all our contributors!
I am looking forward to our Family Talent Night on Saturday. We are some talented and gifted people and this time together will allow us to show what God has given us. All to the Glory of God!
So, let’s make this reunion the best we’ve ever had!
